"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness, For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people, For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry, For Beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day, For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others."
— Audrey Hepburn
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Michael and I got married in November 2008, we knew that we wanted to get involved in parish ministry that allowed us to serve our parish community, as a couple. This was extremely important to us. The Stewardship Council has been a perfect fit for us as we’ve been able to use our time, gifts and talents in ways that we’ve really enjoyed, all the while, serving the Lord together.
It has been a blessing to be a part of this ministry team in so many ways! We look forward to the annual events that raise our parish’s awareness of stewardship at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church. We feel as though the other council members are a vital part of our Spiritual Family.
Overall, Michael and I are honored to serve the parish in this capacity. We pray that the Lord moves and works through our efforts to encourage our fellow parishioners to give of themselves for the building up of His Kingdom here on Earth, in our church community!
