"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." Matthew 28: 19-20
"Baptism is God's most beautiful and magnificent gift....We call it gift, grace, anointing, enlightenment, garment of immortality, bath of rebirth, seal and most precious gift." Catechism of the Catholic Church #1243
If you are expecting or if you have recently had a baby, congratulations! We celebrate baptisms here at St. Edith Stein on the last Sunday of every month at 1pm for babies and children under seven years old. Both parents are required to attend a preparation class prior to the baptism, godparents are recommended to attend. The classes are held on the third Sunday of the month once every quarter from 12:30-4pm. To sign up for these classes, please call Mayra May at the parish office at 281-492-7500. You will need to provide a copy of your child's birth certificate in order to receive a baptismal certificate.
