Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds. (CCC 1316)

Eligibility for Confirmation Preparation

• A baptized Catholic who has received first communion

• Family is a registered member of St. Edith Stein Church

• Sophomore in high school and at least 15 years old when starting year two.

• Please note that our confirmation program is two years the first year being a year of ACE Classes or year of Theology or Formation in a Catholic School. The second year is confirmation specific classes that require an interview to register.

• Completing the necessary Registration Form
• Provide a copy of your Baptismal Certificate
• Interview with the Confirmation Director
• Completion of a report about the saint you have chosen for your Confirmation name
• Choosing a Confirmation sponsor. 
• Attendance at Sunday Confirmation Classes 
• Participation in 2 retreats 1 being a weekend retreat with the Confirmation Class
• Meeting with your Confirmation sponsor at least 3 times throughout the year for faith sharing
• Candidates are asked to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation as part of their preparation for Confirmation.
